  Cosmetology

This course offers a study of the practices and principles of skills needed to be successful in cosmetology and related fields. It provides knowledge of the structure and chemistry of the hair, scalp, and skin. Skills will be gained in the proper use of products and techniques in providing cosmetology related services. Theory and Practical classes are taught to all beginning students, covering sanitation, shampooing, hair shaping, hairstyling, hair coloring, permanent waving, hair relaxing, facials, make-up, manicuring, and hair removal. Training includes completion of basic curriculum and tests. In this portion, students work on mannequins. After completing the basic procedures, students begin practicing on patrons. Upon completion of the program the student is awarded a diploma.

We also offer Instructor Training. This course of study is designed to instruct a teacher trainee in basic methods and techniques. It provides an opportunity for each student teacher to observe and assist experienced teachers in the performance of their duties to perform skill demonstrations.
