The school was founded in 1999 under the name of Michaels School of Beauty. The school is licensed by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology. The school is own and operated by The Macon Educational Group, Inc., the principal owner is Barry Broadnax. Michael’s School of Beauty in Macon, Georgia received its accreditation in February 2003 and approval from the Department of Education in July 2003.
Quality training provided to students in make-up artistry, skin care (facials), nail technology, extensions, styling of hair, hair coloring, hair shaping, chemical waving, straightening and relaxing, hair removal, sanitation, salon management and Georgia Law. The school offers programs that will equip the student to meet all requirements necessary to test for licensure.
The main campus is conveniently located at 630 North Avenue Ste J, Macon, Georgia 31211. The Augusta Campus, located at 1328 Augusta West Parkway occupies approximately 4,200 square feet of space, with 2,500 square feet for demonstrations and instruction. The school is air-conditioned, and parking is available on site. The break area provides for those who prefer to bring their lunch or dinner.
